Found via Style Me Pretty, of course. More inspiration for the style of photography I want and the feelings it should evoke.
Putting the R in Mrs.
I found the crafty girl who made the cake toppers for the wedding I blogged about a couple of weeks ago. Unsurprisingly, it sounds like she’s pretty booked up, which gets me wondering if I could DIY something vaguely similar…
Meet the second runner-up, Sadie by Melissa Sweet. I’m pretty sad to eliminate this one… Who knew I was such a sucker for delicately beaded lace with a feathery train. And the drop-waist sash would’ve been the perfect place to bring in some color. I don’t sound like I’m ready to let go, do I? Farewell, dear Sadie. And then there were two…
As if I wasn’t already in love with Peculiar Pair Press and didn’t buy their paper goods compulsively…
Bridal jewelry that’s just my speed — not too flamboyant or too traditional or too generic. I can even forgive the Comic Sans used for the announcement at the top of her shop (amazing!).
Calligraphered butterfly seating cards from the brilliant designers at Hello! Lucky.
Lovely wedding clutches by Inge Christopher.
Also from SMP, this couple wins my award for Placecard Holders I Want to Steal.
From the Style Me Pretty Unique Weddings Week. How much do I love that cake topper? That’s right, a lot.
Casual Addressing
Although I’m not diametrically opposed to the formal “Mr. and Mrs. John Doe” addressing of wedding invitations (which puts me in the minority I fear — I read an inordinate number of angry rants today), I’m delighted with the idea of addressing my save-the-dates with first names only. I wanted to have a touch of fun and whimsy on my invitation precursors, and this seems to fall right in line.
By Request
What a brilliant idea: Having a space on the RSVP card for people to make a song request for the reception. Fantastic for those of us who are iPod-ing it.
I pretty much love everything about AS Photography. Their post-production treatments in particular are quite lovely. Their photo of the Golden Gate Bridge in the engagement section is perfection.
Now that is just adorable. Lovebirds save the date cards by kiss & tell.
It may be intentionally ironic that a wedding vendor site is called the “little black book” — for the time in life when you’re giving up your other little black book? Depending on where we get married, their resources may be helpful in locating vendors.
